World Lottery Summit 2026

November 9 - November 12

The World Lottery Summit (WLS) 2026 is the global lottery industry’s most important gathering — held every two years by the World Lottery Association (WLA) and co-organised in 2026 with host lottery The Lottery Corporation (TLC). The 2026 summit takes place November 9 to 12 at the International Convention Centre Sydney, located in the iconic Darling Harbour precinct.

What Is the World Lottery Summit?

The World Lottery Summit is the WLA’s landmark biennial convention — the largest dedicated event for the regulated lottery and sports betting industry worldwide. Each edition attracts between 800 and 1,500 senior delegates from over 80 countries, including CEOs of state-authorised lottery organisations, government regulators, sports betting executives, and leading technology suppliers.

WLS 2024 was held in Paris. WLS 2026 in Sydney is the next edition — making 2026 the most important year in the two-year lottery industry event cycle.

Theme: “United in Purpose: Driving Change, Building Resilience”

The 2026 summit’s theme reflects the global lottery industry’s dual mandate: sustaining revenue growth for good causes while navigating technological disruption, regulatory evolution, and player protection challenges. The agenda centres on sustainable growth and social impact.

Key Highlights of WLS 2026

  • Opening Dinner at Sydney Opera House — Delegates arrive by boat for an exclusive evening at one of the world’s most recognisable landmarks — whose construction was largely funded through the sale of over 86 million lottery tickets

Why WLS 2026 Is the Lottery Industry’s Most Important Event

For lottery professionals, WLS is not comparable to any other event. It is the only gathering that brings together the CEOs of the world’s major national lottery organisations simultaneously — making it the definitive platform for standard-setting, partnership development, and strategic alignment across the global regulated lottery industry.

The Sydney location adds particular significance: the Asia-Pacific lottery market is one of the fastest growing globally, and WLS 2026 — co-organised with The Lottery Corporation — provides unparalleled access to APAC-region lottery leadership.
